Staff Update- Shipmates Are Here!

Location: West End, Tortola

Mambo #5 is filled with supplies and ready for an amazing summer here in the BVI. The shipmates are getting to know their new friends. The energy level is off the scale! We can't wait to go sailing and diving tomorrow!

Here is an introduction to the Mambo crew:

Greg- skipper/dive instructor

Greg is a captain and dive instructor year round in the Virgin Islands. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater in 2009 with a BBA in Operations Management. Shortly after he moved to Thailand and became a PADI scuba instructor. This is his second year at ActionQuest and will be helping with the advanced scuba programs.

Meg- dive instructor/mate

Meg is from Central Canada, and after completing her BSc and MSc, she went traveling to the Caribbean where she did her PADI Instructors and Master Scuba Diver Trainer.  Following the Caribbean, her travels took her to Europe where she completed her RYA skippers certification.  For the past year, Meg worked off the west coast of Canada on commercial fishing vessels as an At-Sea Observer, but always managed to find time to travel, dive, and ski.  This is Meg's second year with Action Quest.

Tina- dive instructor/mate

After spending several months abroad with ActionQuest's Sea|Mester in 2008, Tina became absorbed with the marine world. She graduated from Bard College with a BA in Environmental Studies in 2010, after which she turned her attention to scuba diving. Tina has worked as a Divemaster and Instructor in Central America, Europe, and the US. She holds qualifications such as PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, Emergency First Response Instructor (including Care for Children), and nine specialty instructor ratings. She is also an avid underwater photographer. When not underwater Tina can be found playing her viola, studying towards a Master's in Secondary Science Education, and planning her next dive.
