Skipper

Michael grew up in Newport, Rhode Island, and has been sailing since elementary school. He fell in love with working on boats after sailing with Seamester from Tahiti to Australia on S/Y Argo while in college. After graduating with a degree in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island in 2020, Michael completed the Marine Systems and Composites course at IYRS to become a Marine Systems advisor and a certified composites technician. After IYRS, he hopped on a 164′ Yacht and worked as an engineer on yachts in Alaska, Costa Rica, Florida, and the Bahamas. He can’t wait to return to his sailing roots and work as a skipper in the BVI. If not on a boat, you can find him on a beach or surfing the nearest swell during his off time.
