Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Our day started with an early morning motor from Great Harbor to Salt Island, which is known for salt and the sunken ship Rhone. After getting to Salt Island, we all took our sail certification tests. And everybody passed! Our lunch was ramen, cooked by Sophia and Audrey. This meal was extra special because the ramen had been sitting in plain sight for the whole trip, saving it for today. After lunch, we split into a dive group and a hiking group. Miranda, Ana, Audrey, Sophie, and I went to the Rhone; an early steamship used to transport mail for the British Navy. During a large hurricane, a massive wave picked up the ship and threw it into rocks, breaking it apart. Violet, Noah, and Alex went hiking on Salt Island and hiked around Salt Pond. Afterward, they got to take a super fast ride in a super dinghy. After diving and hiking were all done, we finished the day by heading to Norman Island and having Mexican night for dinner. We also had Noah’s early birthday and Sophie’s half-birthday party to celebrate the end of the trip
