Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Noah, Sophie, and I started at 3 am with our first shift of the day. When we woke up, the stars were some of the most amazing stars we have ever seen. As the waves hit the side of the boat, we could see bioluminescence glittering in the water. Around 5 am, the sun lit up the sky, and we saw the BVIs for the first time in 2 weeks. We arrived in Spanish Town, and while Nick cleared customs, we swam and showered. Alex went for a snorkel and found a 6-foot barracuda, which was very exciting. After we ate lunch, we headed to the Baths to do some exploring. At the Baths, we hiked to a high rock and took turns jumping into the water. Sophie and Ana got fresh coconuts. Once we got back to the boat, we made our way to GHP to return to the rest of the fleet. On the way over, we had our final sail chat to review for our sail exams. As we arrived at GHP, we all stood at the bow of the boat. When the other boats spotted us, they waved and greeted us over the VHF. For dinner, Alex and Johnathan cooked us delicious Thai chicken curry and brownies. After we did Lifeworks on the bow, Audrey, Violet, Johnathan, and I ended the day by talking in the cockpit for a while.
