Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound

Starting off the day with some loud country music, waking the whole boat up, we began our day with delicious bags of oatmeal prepared by our resident chefs for the day, John(JT) and Cyrus. Now prepared for the day ahead of us, we got out dive gear, ready for a mid-morning search and recovery dive where we had to practice knot tying, finding a lost object, and using a lift bag. Fortunately, everyone found their objects, and we passed the first dive with flying colors. We then sailed to Leverick bay to restock on food and water, where we were also blessed with some phone time for the first time for this Session. Having completed our allotted 30 minutes for calls and phone things, we traded them in for some money for overpriced onshore shopping, where we bought some quick-melting ice cream, Oreos, chips, etc. Once on the boat, we practiced being emergency first responders on CPR dummies. After feeling comfortable with the boat’s life-saving abilities, the councilors let us loose to the showers, salt water, of course, to prepare for the bbq that would happen later that night. Now clean and dressed up properly, we headed to the BBQ, where we got to eat watermelon, hotdogs, and burgers. Meeting all the new people was exhilarating, and we had a great time. After coming back, we learned Egyptian-slap-rat from Grace, who was cheating. Overall 10/10 day.
