Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
The side-by-side boat had a great day today. It was the first time we’d stepped on land since the day we got here. When set sail at six so we could get to the jumping rock. The island we went to was beautiful, with massive rocks everywhere. While exploring the rocks, Sean did a back flip off the jumping rock. Charlie attempted to crush all the crabs while yelling ‘JAKE PAUL,” but no crabs were harmed during this activity. Then we came back to the boat to get ready for our first stop in a town. The whole boat had been talking about what food they were going to get since day one, so people were super hyped. Luke and Hugh teamed together and made a great investment in some Shirley Temple which we will all be enjoying. I found a fruit stand and bought about 5 pounds of passion fruit. Emerson was super excited to get her pringles and wafers. We all got lunch from the same great restaurant. Mariah tried to buy a 20-bag box of Twizzlers but ended up just buying one. We got back to the boat we went out for a sail, Leuck helmed for a while to our new sleeping spot and parked right between 2 of the other Vega boats, then enjoyed watching the cousin “fight” between Talia and Gianna as Tristan prepared dinner by buttered up the bread for dinner, which was beef stroganoff and the best-buttered bread yet.
