Rhône day
Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Hello everyone😆! Today we woke up after a very rainy night🌧which, of course, means everyone cramped on the blue lagoon trying to sleep. We had oatmeal and cereal for breakfast made by Chris and Bennett. After breakfast, we cleaned up and headed to Salt Island! We motored there. We had some spare time before we went scuba diving. Once it was time for scuba diving, we got in the dinghy and had a very bumpy ride to the dive boat ⛵️. Once we got to the dive boat, we got our gear together, which was more of a struggle than usual due to the huge waves rocking the boat like crazy. Then, we went scuba diving! Today we scuba dive the Rhône, which was a ship that sunk in 1865 due to a hurricane. Scuba diving the Rhône was crazy, many of us saw sharks 🦈 , turtles 🐢 , huge lobsters 🦞 , many colorful fish 🐠 , and brightly colored coral!!!! After our spectacular last scuba dive 😢 we took apart our gear, after a huge struggle again due to the waves. We headed back to our boat and had some yummy ramen 🍜 made by Chris and Bennett and, of course, Mackenzie's help. After lunch, we cleaned up and took a quick swim before we headed to sail to The Bight on Norman Island. While sailing here, we practiced man overboard drills while also sitting on the bow, talking all together. Once we arrived, we rafted with Odin II and started making dinner. While the chefs for today, Chris and Bennett, made dinner, the rest of us took showers 🚿 in the ocean 🌊 , and we saw a big barracuda underneath our boat, which freaked us all out, but we still managed to push each other into the water until all of us were in again. Tonight for dinner, we had Mexican night, which was so good 🌮🌯🍚! After dinner we squeezed, and now I’m writing the blog while watching Bennett attempt to clean under the oven. Carlie also made us delicious CAKE🧁🍰🎂!! After this, we are going to go hang out the rest of the night and just chill. GOODNIGHT!
