Location: Malaga
Hey guys, I’m Andrew. The Canadian is on board. My day started at 12:00 am with Watch Team 3, where we had our final watch :(. It wasn’t the most eventful watch because we were slowly motoring outside of Malaga, waiting to dock. Once we passed it over to Watch Team 1 at 4:00, they had to do a majority of the “Boat to Bed” process, including getting Argo looking all clean before docking. Hays and Lou Lou woke everyone up to the SpongeBob entrance music at 7:00 am. During their morning watch, Ella, Maya, and Lana made delicious pancakes for breakfast!! They were so good, then after the clean-up, we docked at the port in Malaga. While Nick was clearing us into customs, we began on boat jobs.
The jobs mostly were cleaning PFDs and Dive Gear, with everyone putting their gear in their bags, as this was also the time to pack. Right before lunch, we headed on shore with Charlie and Zac. First, we had lunch ashore, which was so good! Some of us went to different local restaurants, including Greyson, Dylan, and Payton, who went to KFC. Around the restaurants was a small market area where Avery and Mimi were exploring. While this was going on, Logan, Lou Lou, and Sadie found the candy store to get some final snacks before leaving. Then we walked into the city centre, which was so fun seeing Malaga for the first time. Everyone here is so friendly and nice! After some sightseeing, Charlie and Zac gave us time to go shopping and explore! Jack, Hays, and I decided to get matching Malaga C.F.F. jerseys while Alex, Brady, Henry, and a few more of the boys tried going into a really nice watch store, which didn’t work. They got kicked out instantly lol. Most of the girls wanted to go to the same store where most of them bought some clothes. After shopping, we came back on the boat to put the dive gear and PFDs away. Then Lanie had a surprise when her parents came to the boat to visit! Everyone was so excited to meet them. We had Chicken Alfredo for dinner and then relaxed for the rest of the night. Sadly, this will be one of the last nights we can be all together, so we’re all trying to make the most of it. To all the families back home, we all just want to send the biggest thank yous home for making this trip possible and giving all of us memories and friendships that will last forever.
