Hi families and friends!!!!!!!!!! ‘Tis Leila writing. Even though today was a chaotic day, yesterday was even crazier, so this blog is a bit late… For advanced open water divers, the morning started with a water sports rotation. I kneeboarded and *attempted* to wakeboard while Nat and Michelle tagged along to watch. For our next rotation, we went diving off of Nacho Dinghy for our peak performance buoyancy dive #2. Even though I couldn’t go on the first one, I caught on pretty quickly 😎😎 Our dive instructor, Anzie, brought a hula hoop to see if we could swim through it without dragging it along. Michelle did it exceptionally well on her first try!! While Holden and I were waiting for everyone in our group to finish, we saw a stingray twice and a fish, low-key bullying it.🥲 Or maybe they were friends hanging out, idk. 😜🤷‍♀️Anzie also taught us frog kicks and how to swim backwards while maintaining ideal buoyancy. When we got back to Nomada, Tuscan white bean soup was ready for us which is one of my FAVOORRITTEEE Action Quest meals so I was so hype💗💞💕💘💝💖 I used to think soup was useless because it’s just liquid but AQ really converted me.😋😍😍 Over lunch, Jack told us that the hike was easy since open water did it in their first rotation, but he totally lied because it kicked our butts.😮‍💨 My Florida self is not built for hiking. Holden did get some pretty cute pictures of Amelia, Carla, Michelle, and me, though!! We headed over to the Glad 2 Be Here’s monohull for bit while we waited for Skyler to pick us up and we all jumped from their really awesome boom swing.😱😱 It was the first time we didn’t care about the jellyfish because the cold water felt sooooooo delectable after the horrid hike.☺️ When we got picked up, we had a quick sail, and Griffin fell asleep in such a funny position that Mia had to make sure he still had a pulse!🙈🙈 Mathilda also made the signature AQ anklet for me, and I’m so happy, even though she burned me with the lighter a bit, hehehehe.😅😅😅🥹 When we arrived at the beach, we officially had our first raft! We rafted with Baba Jaga (say that ten times fast), and we got to know them for a while before the BBQ started. They’re pretty cool if I do say so myself. When we got dropped off at the barbecue, we all sat on the rocks together, watched the sun set, and had hot dogs 🌭, hamburgers🍔, and this suspicious drink that was a weird cross between club soda and lemonade. Nat and Jack brought their soccer ball⚽️, and it was a big hit! While we were hanging out with the Nacho girls towards the end of the night, Skyler absolutely DRAGGED Lucy, Holden, and Mia in the water and she tried to get Michelle and I, but we were too speedy for her grasp. When we got back home to our raft, we had a night shower alongside Baba Jaga and chatted with them for a while, but Michelle, Sloane, and I decided it was time to sleep before everyone else. Legend says some stayed up pretty late talking to the kids on the other boat 👀👀👀👀👀🫨🫢🫣🙀
