Location: Cane Garden Bay, Tortola

This morning, we had an alarm music battle with the boat next to us. Our Thneedville (from The Lorax, for those who donโ€™t know) completely dominated and even reached the next boat over! After a quick cereal breakfast, we covered the table in trash bags for our dogfish dissection! Ellie, Antonio, Tyler, Ari, Sonja, and Juno took one shark while Kylie, Juju, Maren, Mahe, Emi, and Josie took another. Kyler demonstrated on the third shark. We had three dogfish, but one came with a few extra surprises. Inside this shark, we found three baby sharks! By the end of the dissection, the table was covered in shark stuff, scissors, and scalpels. This dissection was on an entirely different level than the starfish dissection. Some people loved it and some people were a bit grossed out. After the dissection, we did our third research dive at Shark Point. Unfortunately, nobody saw any sharks, but we all made progress on our projects. We recorded our data before retreating to the top of the ship for yet another collective nap time. We finally turned in our fish IDs after two weeks of working on them (almost non-stop for some people!). We stopped to get water before mooring in Cane Garden Bay in preparation for our four-hour hike tomorrow.

Ari and Kylie got some boat driving lessons from Kyler on the way over. We had our ocean showers (no jellyfish this time!) and had a delicious pesto pasta dinner prepared by Maren and Josie. Jake from Ghost Rider came over for dinner and brought hot sauce ๐Ÿฅต. Kylie, Sonja, Antonio, and Juno tried some of the pasta. It was pretty spicy, but it tasted good. ๐Ÿ‘ We ended dinner with a water party (drinking water until Perry said to stop). After dinne,r we dishy-pitted and gathered for another Forum. Tomorrow is the long hike and a barbecue, so we all need to actually sleep tonight. Weโ€™ll see if weโ€™re still functioning tomorrow ๐Ÿ™‚
