Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
We started today by getting all our scuba diving gear ready. Then we had cereal and fruit for breakfast since today was a Rotation day with lots of activities. We got ready fast, and then our first activity was scuba diving. We went on our first boat dive today! It was a bumpy dinghy ride but once we got to the dive spot it was so fun there were jellyfish everywhere and Izzy and Brain saw saw squirrel fish and Oey and Oon saw a big Crab then after we went diving we headed over to water sports Malika, Sophia, Blake and I went knee boarding and Sophia tried to water ski on one foot after we came back to our boat and had Mac and cheese which was so delicious 😋 Then our next rotation was Zesting and everyone did so good except for me and Malika we tipped…. 7 times but it was so fun and Breccan and Pierce were going fast while Emme, Izzy, Sophia and Mengmei went swimming off the boat and did some really cool jumps. After that, we learned all about navigation because tomorrow we are doing our first navigation dive, which some of us are nervous about 😥, but we practiced until we all felt comfortable, and now we are all excited 😜. Then, we took ocean showers, and Malika and Brian. I did flips and tricks off the dinghy which was so fun then we had a great dinner of garden burgers, mashed potato’s and beans then we celebrated a Canadian holiday called Canadian Nationale (Me and Malikas favorite holiday since we are Canadian) we shared our favorite traditions with the rest of the boat. Pierce said it was the highlight of his day! And we just finished having a dance battle against the other boats. Overall, today was awesome, and we can’t wait for tomorrow!!
