British Virgin Islands - 2025, Session 2

RACE TIME

Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island

Hi guys!! We started off today with a yummy breakfast of cereal before I was abducted and brought to a skipper meeting. In this meeting, I pulled our number for today’s race starting line-up, which was 2. When I got back, we did a quick cleanup before lining up and preparing for the race. At 9:30 the race finally started, for the first half we were neck and neck with Lucy’s brother’s boat Oryx. In an attempt to slow each other down, we got into a food fight, throwing anything we could get our hands on, such as fruit and eggs. Where Griffen, Holden, and Jack clocked some kids with apples and oranges. As the race progressed, we overtook Oryx, securing our boat in 2nd place. After the race, it was time to go to land, but before we could go on shore, we had to clean all the various concoctions that were thrown during the race. On shore, everyone shared a celebratory lunch at Pussers before dispersing to do some shopping. Carla and I explored together, losing track of time as we chatted with a sweet lady at her art gallery, and missing our pickup time of 1 o’clock.

Once everyone got back on the boat, we set sail to Peter Island. In order to get there, we had to go through some rough waters, so Nat, Carla, Lucy, Holden, Jack, and I lay out on the trampoline to get splashed. We also tried to double jump as the boat rocked, causing Clara to go flying in the air. Midway through our sail, Skylar called the advanced sailors to study for our VHF test. Once we finished Matilda and Lucy made our dinner of chile and rice. At dinner, we started to plot how we were going to prank the other boats around us. Some of our ideas were PFDs on the anchor chain, fenders in the sail bag, and stealing silverware.
