Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Hello Everyone!
My name is Paloma, and I am on the Aquarius program at ActionQuest. Today we started the day at seven AM and had cereal for breakfast. After that, we cleaned the boat. Today, Jack, Alicia, and Tati did the dishes, Anne dried them, and Alicia and Nathan did Deckie.
After that, we went ashore to hear Mike talk about how to stay safe and healthy on this trip. After that, we could finally leave the West End and go on our way. Jack, Tati, and I helped sail to our first destination, the caves at Norman Island. When we got there, our chefs, Liam and Parker, made lunch for us. Today it was Deli Sandwiches.
There we had to do our swim test, which was four laps around the boat, and our water treading test, which was ten minutes for the Aquarius and Carina program and 13 minutes for the dive masters. We all passed and got to go snorkeling after that. The water was really clear and I saw huge parrot fish and a sting ray. Meanwhile, the dive masters got to go on their first dive, and they saw an eagle ray. This afternoon, the last person from our boat, Alli, got here and met everybody.
After that, we got underway again to where we will be spending the night, a place called the bight. Here we took our first ocean shower of the summer and had dinner. Right now, everyone is doing their jobs to clean the boat. It was a really good day.
