Location: West End, Tortola

What’s up, guys? This is Kiran, and I’m reporting from Pure Joy 3. Today we had an early start where we ate some yummy cereal, shortly after we kitted up and got into the water for our first and only dive of the day. We swam around at a familiar dive site known as “The Playgrounds,” The Neptunes got a chance to have a fun, self-instructed dive while the Dolphins completed their last research dive. After about 30-45 minutes in the water, we sailed into another familiar place, West End, where we docked for the day. Everyone was stoked to get on land, and we spent the day enjoying food, shopping, and being in the company of our sister boats. It was later in the day when we received the news that we had some weather coming our way. It was not the kind of weather we necessarily wanted, but Darby, Teddy, Emma L, Ruby, Olivia, and Lauren put this news to great fun when we decided to sit on the trampoline while underway and get absolutely waterboarded. The winds and the waves of this so-called “Cyclone” caused a memory none of us will forget. Due to these conditions, we had to dock yet again for whoever knows how long at Roadtown, an AQ favorite. For now, we aren’t exactly what the plan is, but we don’t freight. PJ3 knows how to have fun despite the conditions thrown our way.

We had an absolutely amazing dinner cooked by our chefs, Teddy and Ruby. We had Mexican night again, and it was only possible because Maddie, Emma, and Megan decided to go to other boats and beg for small servings of rice, seeming as if we had none. Not only did Maddie beg on her knees, but it was accomplished in the pouring rain. We still have a pretty busy night tonight, the Neptunes has to take a test to seal the deal on retrieving their Advanced Diver., and the Dolphins have to work on their project presentation. But more importantly, WE HAVE TO CELEBRATE GORDON ON 22 YEARS OF SURVIVAL. You heard it right: our very own Gordon made it to 22, even after eating rocks and licking jellyfish. We all wished him a happy birthday at the end of our squeeze, which was briefly interrupted by a dance to the infamous song “Wobble” on the hardtop. Today’s question, asked by me, was who would die first in a horror movie.

Most votes went to Ruby and Darby for very different reasons. Ruby would die simply because she is a sweetheart who would most likely run right into the killer. While Darby would die because he’d think he could beat up the killer and try to do pushups right beforehand. Before we end the night, we are going to sing Gordon Happy Birthday at the top of our lungs while we bring out a surprise cake that Gordon probably will wish was made of rocks and jellyfish. Welp, that’s all for PJ3 today. Sadly, our blog camera broke, so we missed the opportunity to take a bunch of photos today. Thanks for tuning in!

P.S I love you, mom 🙂
