This morning, we woke up to rave music at 7:15 AM, ate cereal, and started our rotation day. We started with learning different knots, such as a figure eight knot or a cleat knot, which Koko was amazing at. We then went inside to learn how to plan dive times using three different charts, which Holly could figure out in seconds. We all hopped in the dinghy to go snorkel around in the mangroves, where Louise used her GoPro to record all the jellyfish. We took the dingy back to Shamwari, where we ate ramen for lunch. After we finished eating, we sailed the Zest boats in groups of 3. Patrick and Aleks capsized many times. There was a crazy amount of wind, so Emily and I had to hike almost all the way off of our boat. Once we got back, we took our showers, looked at the tarpon fish, and got ready to sail to get to the barbecue. Once we docked, we went to the store to purchase snacks and drinks, then returned to the boat. Around 30 minutes later, we headed to the barbecue, where we were able to choose from hotdogs and hamburgers. Following dinner, all the students from the boats gathered on the deck to dance to the DJ’s music. Mac and I even lost our voices singing some of the songs. Patrick and Peyton were dancing and recording on the dance floor while wearing glow stick necklaces. People were chanting Henry and Nikos’s names during the dance. Abby’s favorite song to sing and dance to was Soulja Boy – There was even a competition to which student was the best dancer and a limbo contest. The barbecue and dance ended around 10 PM, so we headed back to the boat, where we ended the night by talking in the Power Tower and Stella Ella Hola
