Hi!!! Everyone woke up to another day of fantastic music and had a hardy oatmeal breakfast. Today was a very action-packed day full of so many cool activities, starting with learning how to drive a dinghy. While learning, Olivia was doing so well and was the only person to pick up the “man” overboard on her first time, which was very impressive. Our next activity was turtle tagging, and it was much harder to track down the turtle than I thought it would be. But Jace almost caught one, he was following it and was so close but the turtle just went too deep. Then, after that, we got split up into a few different boats for water sports. George was the first to do the water sports, and he did boarding, but he was so good at it that he got up on the first try, stayed up for a long time, and helped Marrine and me get the wakeboards off after our turn. Mimi got a fat bruise from knee boarding, but I’m glad that I got to see her go because I’ve never seen knee boarding before. Marine went wakeboarding for the first time and got up on the first try like. Maddie was the last to go during the water sports, but she really ended it with a bang. She was the only one to water ski and was so good at it. And on a different dinghy, Yoyo had a very successful first try on the kneeboard; he not only stayed on for a long time but also did a 360.

Something that might have been overlooked by some was that he helped the crew get on and off the dinghies from the water when moving from boat to boat during all the activities today. During our small break before scuba diving, Chole and I were lying on the trampoline (net at the front of a boat), and she was saying how she appreciated not having her phone. It allowed her to reflect on herself, and I agreed. It’s a very nice change to just disconnect and not feel like you’re using out because you’re on a boat with new friends. When I went scuba diving, I was with Hanna and Maddie and our awesome British instructor Ben, who was blowing bubble rings at the bottom, and Hanna did them too, and I was kinda jelly because that’s so cool to me, and I can’t do it, but I’m so happy for her that she can. Lastly, Drew and Natalie cooked a wonderful pasta dinner and mixed up hot dogs, onions, and bell peppers. I am so very thankful that they fed all 16 of us. (We had a special guest, Aden, who works on his own boat pumping scuba tanks all day.) As I was writing this, the boat next to us caught a seagull, took it into a boat that Zoe was getting something on, and put in one of the cabins #boatlife.

P.S. The pictures below are of last night’s impromptu pancake-making at 10 pm.
