Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Hi everyone, day one has been the best day of the trip so far. When doing our gratitude for the day, Mimi said that she was grateful for the good music, so stealing from her, I would say has been bringing the vibes. Jace has been dancing all day, and we are talking about challenging the other boats to a dance battle. George doesn’t like Beyoncé. Luckily for him, Aiden, our counselor, loves her, so maybe he will change his mind by the end. Getting to know everyone has been fun, especially comparing things that different states have, like how Olivia brought Krave, which I had never seen or eaten before. We motor sailed for a few hours to a beach for lunch and our swim test! The food has been good very good we had sandwiches for lunch and I’m not sure if it’s because I was so hungry but it was hitting the spot. Yoyo and Chloe made a gourmet dinner of sloppy joes and corn with a dessert of pineapple. I got pictures of the sailing, so hopefully, they are cute and aesthetic. Natalie and I got underwater pictures on her GoPro, they were all bad but it was still fun! The water was so beautiful, and everyone was doing cool tricks and flips. Maddie tried to help me do a backflip, but it didn’t work out, and Drew had to hold my hand because I kept wobbling and falling off before doing anything. Then we sailed over to Mountain Point, where we will be for the next couple of days. The showers are a fun time but you feel very salty still. Hannah had this body wash that smelled amazing. My hair was too knotty from the water. I’m braiding my hair tomorrow, though, because Kathrine braided hers today, and it looked too cute and didn’t get messed up. I had the best chill day, and hopefully, it only gets better from here! Diving and water sports tomorrow!
