Location: St Barts
After a very early bedtime that started before we anchored for most, we woke up to a beautiful pink sky sunrise looking towards St. Barths. We ate some classic AQ oatmeal for breakfast, fueling ourselves for the lazy morning ahead. Waiting for Matty P and Claire to get back from customs, our boat hung out, taking some much-needed morning ocean showers after the sail. Our favorite boat bird, Jamie, who followed us to every island, gave us another visit, landing on the port side of our boat and standing there right next to us for over half an hour as we talked. Claire came back after he finally flew off, ready to give us a VHF chat for our certification. Once her lesson ended we headed to shore for lunch and shopping. We explored the island for a long time, visiting many designer stores we all knew we did not have the money for. Coming back with some cheaper souvenir-like shirts, we took another ocean shower while we cooked dinner. The Thai Red Curry was unanimously one of the best dinners we’ve had, and now we’re cleaning up and getting ready for a second movie night.
