Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Our first Barbecue today! But first, in the morning, we enjoyed a breakfast of oatmeal and cereal prepared by Mimi and Armaan. After, we savored a leisurely snorkel through the mangroves. Viewing the vibrant coral and elegant sea life, Frosty spotted a juvenile Great Barracuda, and Dec spotted a graceful Moon Jellyfish. After, we partook in a wide range of activities. Including two-person sailboats, which Maggie, Emma, and Schuyler enjoyed, Maddie braided beads into everyone’s hair. After, many, including Leo, expertly swung from a rope on the boat into the water. We also paddle-boarded, swam, and enjoyed time in the sun. Later, we indulged in a lunch of mac and cheese. After lunch, Armaan and Maren went on a colorful coral reef dive, spotting a wide variety of fish and other aquatic life.
Meanwhile, the others savored a trip to the beach where Leo and Frosty played football, and Dec, Maddie, Mimi, Schuyler, Emma, and Maggie swam. When everyone returned to the boat, we took a quick trip to the Leverick Bay convenience store before receiving our phones to call home. Then it was off to the Barbecue, the highlight of the day! We enjoyed the company of the entire Action Quest camp Family and enjoyed a scrumptious buffet. Tomorrow we are off to the Olympics!
