Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Hi, I’m Mina. I am 15 and am from Charleston, SC. Today was a really fun day. We woke up early and got our laundry sent to get clean. The staff had a meeting, so Peyton and Hayley made pancakes for breakfast, which was so good. Then we all cleaned up and got ready for the day. We got to go onto land only a couple of times on this trip, and today was one of them. We went to a place named Trellis Bay, where all the boats were also there. We shopped and ate lunch. We went to a shop named Aragorn’s, where we had recently visited the owner’s farm and helped weed and cut bamboo and so on. His shop was so cool. We all got T-shirts and matching bracelets. We then headed to the market and got snacks for the cabin, which we always go through so fast. Then we all found a trampoline and almost broke it. Marcelo climbed coconut trees and brought back a couple. We then went back to the market for a treat.
We then headed back to the boat, where we sailed to Muskmelon Bay, where Hayley, Sam, and Luke helped helm the sailboat. We then got to Muskmelon Bay. Hayley and Peyton attempted to make chili and rice and made it totally fine Tait thankfully came to our rescue and made a lovely meal, and then we all did squeeze, and I came up with an interesting question. Today was a really fun day, and I am excited to see what comes next.
