Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Hello, I am Constantin. I am fourteen, and I’m from Manhattan, New York. We had an early morning with a five A.M. wake-up and went below decks to sleep more. After an hour, mostly everyone was up, and those who slept above decks (including me) had their PFDs and could go above deck because Riley, Tait, and Amelia were sailing the boat. We were headed to the Anegada atoll with the goal to destroy the other boats in the Beach Olympics. We were ahead of the rest, so we took a victory lap to show the other boats who was the boss. When we arrived, we anchored and had Grayson and Marcello’s cinnamon toast and eggs. During breakfast, there was an oopsie, and the table broke. We taxied over to the atoll. The first task was riding buoys. Grayson won that; sadly, that was the only win of the day. After that, we had to climb a dinghy that was covered in soap.
Oscar and I did well, but not well enough. Then we did a tug of war. Even with the help of Amelia, we lost the first round. We had more luck with filling Pringle cans with water by using only our bodies. We took turns juking out James, another counselor. After arriving back at the boat, we showered in the ocean and had Mac and cheese for lunch. We had a long ride to Vixen Point. On the way to the island, we learned sailing physics from Professor Riley. Sam, Hayley, and Liya passed out and slept for the whole trip.
Meanwhile, Peyton and I learned how to drive the boat from Amelia. On the way, we saw a pod of dolphins, but they left a little bit later. The sun was crispy, and we were all pretty hot. As we approached Vixen Point, I sailed us through the reef, and Peyton got us anchored. We saw a turtle, but those who were sleeping missed it. We had veggie burgers, mashed potatoes, and baked beans. After I finish writing this blog, we are watching Shark Tales and go to bed. We are having a ton of fun, and we will see you in the next episode.
