Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda

The morning started pretty early, at around 6 in the morning, and it was a short sleep as well. When we woke up, we started a short trip to the baths, and we were with all the other dive boats too. We walked through the rocks to get to “the jumping rock” and did some flips. We were all impressed when Nico finally stuck the backflip landing. After that, we headed back to the boat and got ready for another short sail, and we only used our jib and motor. We then made it to Spanish town and prepared to walk to the restaurant and then to the other side of town to the market. We also filled our water tanks and took fresh water showers. At the Bath and Turtle restaurant, everyone got a burger, but Rooks and Shay were original and got a chicken Caesar salad wrap because we had a limited choice of food. Simon went off alone and got some sick shades. Then we walked to the other side of the town for the market, where I had to buy body wash and shampoo because yesterday I found out my bottle opened overnight and was dripping, but good thing Alicia and Trey let me use some of their soap. After we got back from the market, we had around 20 minutes left on shore, so Lucas and Nico got ice cream while Mireille, Trey, Alicia, Rooks, and I waited for the dive shop to open…. It never did. Then we all walked back because we had to be back on the boat by 1:45, and we all walked on the boat to Scott in his hammock, taking a nap which was funny. We made it in time, but we still had like 15 minutes because there was a staff meeting on our boat, so Rooks and I ran to check if it opened, but sadly it did not. We then were doubting it would open, but everyone hyped us up and told us it opened, so Rooks and I ran back to the store within 5 minutes, and we got our masks. We then sailed out of Spanish Town and made it to mountain point, and that’s where we are spending the night. We did a quick rescue scenario about tired divers and panicked divers throwing floaties at Griffin, who was our fake drowner. Ryan threw the best fender at Griffin. Then Mireille and Rhiannon made beef stroganoff after our ocean showers. The food was good compared to last year’s beef stroganoff. After that, we did a squeeze which is everyone holding hands, and I asked the question, “Who inspires you most” which got pretty deep. Then we ended the night off with a dive chat and video about search and rescue. Goodnight, everyone’s parents, and I love you, Tsag Fam.
