Focused Service, Trekking & Adventure

GoBeyond Strudent TravelOur Peru programs are coordinated and run with the community service arm of our organization, GoBeyond Student Travel (formerly Lifeworks International.) We offer two unique journeys to Peru, Footsteps of the Inca and Sacred Valley Service. Each journey has a unique feel, so read on and find the one that's best for you!

Peru is world-renowned for its natural beauty, biodiversity, and historical heritage - yet off the beaten tourist track live communities struggling to keep the balance between past traditions and modern realities...

Walk in the footsteps of an ancient civilization by trekking, riding, and rafting through some of the worlds most breathtaking scenery are samples of the incredible adventures waiting for you.

The Peru voyages center around adventure travel with a humanitarian twist. Splitting your time between Cuzco's urban landscape and the rural Sacred Valley, you'll explore everything the region has to offer. You'll have the chance to traverse the rugged terrain of the Andes Mountains, connect and lend a helping hand to impoverished communities, and form the friendships of a lifetime while finding a side of yourself you never knew existed!

Footsteps of the Inca

Walk, raft, bike, and ride along the paths of one of mankind's most powerful civilizations. Take in breathtaking vistas of the Andes, the world's largest mountain range, and immerse yourself in Peruvian culture and tradition as you explore ancient ruins and mingle with the wonderfully diverse people. Spend some time learning about Peru's fascinating history in rich cultural courses and earn over 40 community service hours by helping to nurture minds and communities.

Sacred Valley Service

Making a lasting impact in just three weeks is no small feat, but on this journey that's exactly what you'll do. Earn the President's Volunteer Service Award* by teaching English, preparing meals, cleaning rivers, and even building bathrooms, greenhouses, and homes for Peru's underserved families. When you're not involved in service, kick back and relax or see the sites, such as the vibrant markets of Pisac or El Huerto Paraiso to learn how Peruvians prepare their world-renowned coffee and honey.
