Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Today we started our first ever wreck dive together. The name of the wreck was called the Rhone. We saw so many cool fish during the dive, and under some of the wreckage, we found a massive barracuda just a couple of feet from us. We also saw 4 sharks which were awesome, and a lobster that looked like it was almost 5 feet long. After we finished the dive, we went on a hike to the salt island. The hike was pretty fun because we got to talk to all of the other boats and take some really good pictures. After we finished the hike, we swam around the boat while we had ramen for lunch. When we finished lunch, we hung out on the boat until it got a bit darker. Once the sun started to set, we went snorkeling to examine the dive site. And when nighttime finally rolled around, we put on all of our dive gear and went on our second-night dive. We revisited the dive site that we snorkeled on previously. During our night dive, we immediately saw some stingrays swimming on the seafloor. One of the skills we had to complete during the night dive was to sit at the bottom of the ocean and turn off all of our lights. When we were finding a place to complete our skill, a stingray swam right towards me, and I was just barely able to jump over it. During the time we had to sit in the pitch-black, we got to interact with the bioluminescence. Apparently, there were stingrays swimming around us during the time we couldn’t see anything. After we got out of the water, we had Risotto waiting for us, and in my opinion, it was the best tasting dinner so far. In conclusion, today was an awesome day, and I can’t wait for whatever comes next.
