Location: The Bight, Norman Island

Today we finally picked up the rest of our shipmates and finally started sailing. We all took turns learning to steer the ship, and I got a good lesson in docking us. It was a lot of information but fun. We learned hot to tie the knots the bowline, clove hitch, and cleat knot. Everyone learned pretty quick. Then we learned some more about the ship, like what the bow, stern, starboard, and port area. Then the mainsail, jib sail, standing rigging, running rigging, and what the pulpit is. Then once the rest of the crew finally arrived, and we put up the mainsail and headed to the Bight at Norman Island. We got 25-knot winds with 6-foot waves. Once we finally got to the Bight, we tied up to a mooring ball and did the swim test. After that and dinner we got introduced to our scuba groups or snorkeling groups. Then we went to bed.
