I was woken up to the loud crashing sound of a roommates mug falling to the floor, we then got ready for the two flights to travel to the Whitsundays. After breakfast, we were soon out the door and on the way to the airport. The first flight was only about an hour and a half with a layover until our second flight. During that time, we entertained ourselves with group games as well as some ridiculous what are the odds tasks. We got off the plane in a tiny airport then proceeded to get on a bus. I was amazed at how different the land here looked then back at Sydney; it was mostly flat dry plains with hills in the distance. On the bus the driver told us about the plentiful wildlife that lived around the area — things such as kangaroos, wallabies, crocodiles, turtles, and more.
We managed to see a bunch of groups of kangaroos and wallabies on the side of the road. After a short while, we finally made it to the beach and boarded the boat. We all got settled in and had a massive dinner of pizza followed by the question of the day, thus almost putting an end to our journey.
