Location: The Bight, Norman Island
The group woke up and immediately went into the water for the last time to go waterskiing, wakeboarding, and swimming. We had a nice sail over to Road Town, where everyone ate lunch and got some yummy snacks for the last few days. While waiting for some weather to pass Margaux and Maco challenged up to an awesome game of hide and seek around the boat. Leah had the best hiding spot under the nav table hidden in all the PFD’s. Then we headed off to The Bight. The staff and students traded places for this sail so that we as sailors now mapped and commanded and sailed the boat to our next destination. We had so much fun sailing; I took command as the skipper with Rob helping me map out our journey. Morgan, Ellie, Leah, Mel, Kenny, the Staff and I danced to our favorite boat song Tropics. Nick used a GoPro to vlog with Maco, Margaux, and Rachel while they were pretending to be “the students.” After arriving at The Bight, the staff had a meeting, so Leah and Mel made dinner and a ton of desserts while they were gone. We took delight in some broccoli cheddar pasta and for dessert brownies, pound cake, and gummy candies. As the day comes to an end, we have one last evening activity where we write cards to each other that we get to take home with us on the last morning. We are super excited for the big sail race tomorrow but sad that it means that we have to pack up the boat to go home after.
