Today we woke up to a beautiful BVI morning and some music playing in the background. We had a delicious breakfast of breakfast burritos and banana nut muffins. Then, the dive students were off to do their first and second open water dives. During their dives, they saw trumpet fish, flamingo tongue fish, rock beauty angelfish, turtles, blue jags, and vibrant coral. Reed and Quinn also created an underwater handshake, which they showed during their open water dives. Meanwhile, Lauren and I were at Sea Señora, another monohull in the AQ fleet, and made Turk’s head bracelets and anklets. We also got to know some of the other AQ crewmates. After our divers returned from their open water dives, they had a homey meal of white bean soup, while Lauren and I hopped onto the Kokomo catamaran with the Liberty shipmates and ate a lunch of PB and J. While on the catamaran, Lauren and I participated in a fun sail with the Liberty shipmates. While we were sailing, the dive students took a much deserved and needed nap after 3 action-packed days of sailing, SCUBA, water sports, zesting, and other exhilarating and life-changing experiences. During nap time, Reed fell asleep in a funny position. After a quick brain break and nap, the dive students took their open water exam and are now one step closer to finishing their dive certification. After the dive activities and sail adventure with Liberty, we ate an absolutely delicious dinner of risotto and Caesar salad. After dinner and a jam session during post-dinner clean-up, we had a sail chat to prepare for our sailing certification. Today was another amazing and action-packed day at ActionQuest, and we can’t wait for more.
