Location: West End, Tortola

We started the day off quickly, with a 6:30 am wake up. Chefs started breakfast while everyone else got ready for the day. For breakfast, we had oatmeal and cereal. At 7:30 am, I headed to a meeting along with the other skippers to discuss our spots and route for the sailing race. When I got back to Bavastro, everyone was ready to sail to our starting point. By the time we got there, it was a quick start, and we were off racing. We started off far back in last and remained there for a majority of the race. As we reached the end, the other boats had some weak tacks allowing us to get ahead. We were in sixth place out of the seven boats after being able to pass at least one boat and last minute after a quick tack; we were able to get ahead of another. We finished fifth after being in dead last for the entire race. A big moment for Bavastro! After the race, we had a relaxing/calm sail and motor over to where we started it all. And so its the beginning of the end. Cleaning up the boat and getting packed took over most of the afternoon. To end the day, we had our final camp-wide BBQ. Today was a calm, quick day.

In conclusion, tomorrow is our travel day, so this was our last real day. Bavastro was an amazing boat filled with amazing, kind people. Thank you ActionQuest and Bavastro.
