Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island

We started the day at 6:50 with oatmeal, melon, and apples with peanut butter. After this, we started to Zest and later did watersports. Lindsey was very proud of herself after standing on waterskis for 2 minutes and 40 seconds. We then went over to Tropical Oasis to learn about coral reefs and how to preserve and protect them. Then, we had bean soup and saltines for lunch. The saltines seemed to be a big hit, and we went through two packs of saltines. After lunch, we went to do our third open water dive. Before our descent, Rahm found two baby rays. Upon descending, I was met with a burst of color. Fish and coral of many different shades. Parrotfish and damselfish with vibrant colors and surgeonfish. Rahm also saw a lionfish peeking out from under the reef.

Further, into the dive, we found another ray “carrying” a fish around the ocean floor. It even stopped to let the fish grab something to eat before it continued on its path. When we got back to the boat, we began to tie Turks Head bracelets and/or anklets. And for dinner, we had summer thanksgiving with chicken, stuffing, gravy, etc. While finishing up dinner, we saw a flock of birds attacking what I thought to be a large school of fish. We finished up the day with a beautiful sunset.
