Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
After a long evening of dancing the previous night, we started our day by waking up at 6:30 (usual) and having some delicious oatmeal. In the morning we learned how to sail the Rhodes 19 sailboats which we managed to navigate through a noon-storm and through patches of no wind. Later, we learned how to read dive tables from Hannah, our dive instructor. For lunch, we had some quick deli sandwiches before hopping onto our dinghy to the beach. We windsurfed some more around the sandy beaches of Vixen Point, where our whole fleet is anchored. My favorite part of the day definitely was sailing the small Picos. I tried to push the tiny boat over after capsizing. After we got back on our boat we went to the dock at Leverick Bay to fill up our water tanks and watch the men on the dock whip the cleat knots when tying us to the dock. We then sailed to a place called Mountain Point where we will be anchored for the next few nights. Before dinner, we took quick salt water showers and prepared burritos for our delicious Mexican night. At around 8:30 we started on a scuba chat, preparing to finish the course in the following days. We are all looking to our dive tomorrow! After a long day, we all fell asleep (or tried to) waiting for another incredible day!
