The Boss Lady is ready and anxiously awaiting the arrival of her 14 shipmates. Meg and Sam have been hard at work the past two days, making sure Boss Lady has everything she needs for the new rescue divers in training. Sam spent the past two days fine-tuning the ship’s systems and all of the dive gear, while Meg has provisioned the boat with all of its dry stores and educational materials needed for the rescue course. Today we will receive all of our fresh food in the morning, and continue to put the finishing touches on Boss Lady as we look forward to the arrival of our 14 new crew members. We could not be more excited about our session two rescue program to start, and to bring our new students to the highest level of non-professional diving you can reach!
Here is an introduction to the crew of Boss Lady:
Sam- skipper/dive instructor
After graduating from Wake Forest University in 2004, Sam followed his passion for the water and travel, working as a sailing and scuba diving instructor in Costa Rica, Thailand, and Belize. Sam joined AQ, in 2007 and is now the director of the BVI Diving program. He holds certifications as an MCA Master of Yachts 200 Ton, PADI IDC Staff Instructor, and Advanced Medic at Sea. An avid traveler, he can be found seeking out new adventures abroad, from paragliding in the Alps to jungle trekking in Sumatra.
Meg- dive instructor/mate
Meg is from Central Canada, and after completing her BSc and MSc, she went traveling to the Caribbean where she did her PADI Instructors and Master Scuba Diver Trainer. Following the Caribbean, her travels took her to Europe, where she completed her RYA skippers certification. For the past year, Meg worked off the west coast of Canada on commercial fishing vessels as an At-Sea Observer, but always managed to find time to travel, dive, and ski. This is Meg’s second year with ActionQuest.
