Location: West End, Tortola
We are now coming to the end of our program, which is very sad. It is amazing how much this group has blossomed from the start. The past 20 days have definitely been a journey for us all, with Fritz in the galley saving almost every meal cooked. As I write this, I have Soleil on the helm with full sails up in 20 knots sailing us to the Bight, something I could only have dreamed of from the start. Maria and Soleil always wanted to helm and did a great job of that. Anna and Simone constantly kept us entertained with their dance parties and Jonathan as a DJ. We had the race from West End to Peter Island in which we got a hard-fought second place. This was definitely succeeded as a team, but special mentions go out to our two helmsmen Fritz and Nick, who had to go through 2 straight hours of listening to me telling them where to go. Yesterday we had our qualified PADI scuba divers Miranda, Dyugu, Zach, and Fritz dive on of the most famous wrecks in the world, the RMS Rhone. It is hard to put into words how proud I am of all our shipmates. They have excelled so much from the day they stepped onto this boat. Kelly, Gwen and I are so proud of them and sad to see this session come to an end.
