It’s hard to believe that the past three weeks have already come and gone and our Wind Shadow team must say goodbye. We have done so much this session and had many amazing adventures that included, diving, sailing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, and hiking, but most importantly becoming an outstanding crew. In the beginning, when we were just becoming familiar with each other, Johnny broke the ice with his ability to make anyone laugh. During sail training, Rob’s extensive sailing background and experience teaching back at home helped solidify both our group’s love for sailing and skill. Ellie amazed us all with her skills as skipper during sail racing and man overboard drills and can’t wait to take her new knowledge back home! Robbie worked hard on his line handling so that it was on point for all of our races to ensure we had the best chance possible. Mel impressed all with her expert knot tying abilities showing us how to tie new knots every day. Outside of sailing Morgan impressed everyone with her ability to make outstanding friendship bracelets and with skiing slalom the very first ski rotation of the session. Kiran was able to perfect his backflip after working super hard on it for the entire three weeks. Leah always ensured that no one on our boat ever went hungry by preparing snacks and delicious meals. Charli always has been a listening ear and a helping hand offering to help where ever is needed. Last, by not least, Kenny has been keeping us all happy with his caring and a fun-loving attitude making sure everyone is always included. As we near the end of our trip, we hope that our Wind Shadow team will see each other again and remember the amazing times we had on the beautiful blue Caribbean Sea. The entire staff wants nothing more than to see each crew members smiling face back on the dock next summer and wish them all the best in the coming year.
