Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Happy 4th of July!! First, today, for rotations, we had diving, where we did the sunken ship called the Rhone. This was a deep dive for the advanced kids: Elias, Reid, Evan, and me. This dive also made Eli, and I officially advanced certified! During the dive, we got to swim into the ship and saw two huge anchors, all covered in coral. Pre-dive, we got a brief from Garrison on the dive boat about the history of the Rhone and what happened.
Next, after diving, we had our knot test and sailing test. Everyone passed the basic sailing test for Mar, Sedora, Eli, Angie, Vanessa, Gabby, Laila, Krisi, and me. While we did this, Reid and Evan took the advanced sail test. We still don’t know how we do it yet, but if we pass, we will be certified. Then, we did a quick hike to Salt Island and learned some of its history.
We just hung out on the boat and then sailed back to the GHP for the night. We showered, watched the sunset, and ate dinner. All four boats were rafting for the night, and that’s how the day ended.
