RHONE DIVE!!!
Today we got to sleep in a little, except Ethan, Cole, and Owen who were woken up by a screaming goat on the side of the mountain, which sounded like it was screaming “Help!” which freaked them out. Then, we had cereal underway because we were heading over to Salt Island, where we geared up and got hype to dive into the wreck of the RMS Rhone! The staff didn’t know if the current was too strong, so they did a short dive to navigate the environment. Luckily, it wasn’t so bad that we couldn’t dive. However, the current was still strong enough to prevent us from reaching certain parts of the wreck. We splashed and had a 30-minute fun dive. After the fun dive, we went for a hike up this really cool mountain on Salt Island, which took about an hour. Then, we went underway again and arrived at Great Harbour Peter Island, where we did our second search and recovery dive. After we finished the dive, we reviewed one of the quizzes in our search and recovery book. Today was overall one of the less intense days, but still extremely fun! Now, we’re rafted with three other boats (flotilla) for the night and having lots of fun listening to music and doing dishes😁
