After a scrumptious breakfast of warm, fresh, sweet French toast (compliments to Jake and Trent), we all set out to our first activity(except for Reed, Trent, and Jake, who were forgotten and just listened to Olivia Rodrigo. One by one, we started shredding on either the water skis, the wakeboard, or the kneeboard. Some were better at grinding on the waves than others, but we all had fun. After that exhilarating activity, we switched to a more relaxing atmosphere – snorkeling. The cool refreshing waters were filled with magnificent aquatic life ranging from all sorts of coral, fish, and foliage. Michelene started to single-handedly save the ocean by finding and taking a plastic spoon back to the boat. While she did that, Trent, Reed, and Jake started to play with a sea cucumber. We snorkeled for around an hour, spotting the most fantastic fish like baby barracudas, tiny minnows, stingrays, and fish with yellow stripes that reflected the tropical sun. We rendezvoused on our ship-to learn about coral conservation. Many new interesting things were taught to us. We learned about the benefits of coral, why it dies. Still, most importantly, Garrison gave the most motivational speech and inspired us all to start taking action to save the phenomenal life that is coral. We then ate a feast of mac-and-cheese with everything-pasta and other sides. Later we went over to sail little sailboats (Zests). We paired up in twos; there was Jake and Trent, who ended up flipping their boat upside-down at least 8 times. There was Jocelyn and Lauren, who flipped their boat five times. There was also Sloane and Layla, who flipped their boat upside down only twice. Lastly, there was Trey and me, who didn’t capsize once. Trent and Jake also sailed off into the horizon, never to be seen again until Allie towed them in. We then head back to our ship and set sail for the delicious afternoon barbecue. The moon then switched with the sun as we fell asleep ready for another great adventure tomorrow.
