Location: The Bight, Norman Island

Today was an awesome day! It started off at 5 am with a short dinghy ride to watch the sunrise, which was amazing, even though we got surprised with some rain. Then we had a delicious breakfast of oatmeal. Followed by a skippers meeting for me, while my crew prepared the boat. For the first race, we were seated 7th in line. We worked together to pull out the jib, being one of the first boats out of the line finishing in 5th place, which we were all very excited about. Once we got our sails down, we grabbed a mooring ball and grabbed a quick bite to eat. We were back on Bella by 1:30, ready to begin our second race. Lining up third for this race, my mates, Derek, Josh, and Ian, helped Bella come in 4th for this race. During this race, we all sat up on the high side, listening to music. After getting down our sails for the second time today, it was time to anchor and being making a Mexican feast. Once we finished dinner, it was time for Aaron, Linda, and Karl to attempt to beat our clean up time. Our time was 15:33 with two penalties, they put up a good fight, but they fell second behind our fast time. Currently, we are all sitting on the bow, eating Derek’s Fig Newtons. We are all trying to make the best of our last days together as a team.
