Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
Today started with all of the monohulls rafted together at Sydney’s Peace and Love and the strong aroma of pancakes. We were woken up at 7:30, which was pretty late in the AQ world. We ate breakfast and took a group picture at Sidney’s. We unrafted and the Vegas did their practical sailing exams. We had lunch and continued the practicals while heading to Sandy Spit, a small sandy island. We got some time to hang out with other boats on the beach before we took Phantom, our dinghy, back to our boat. Tom, the advanced diving instructor, came over to do paperwork and to help log dives with the Carinas. Everyone is excited for race day tomorrow! We are compiling a song list for tomorrow. It has been an amazing 16 days. Time has felt like a blink, but on the other hand, I fee like I’ve been here forever. We are all having mixed feelings about heading home.
