Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
Today we had a nice meal and a great tasting breakfast before we left Jost van Dyke. After an interesting cast off we sailed out into the open water and took our sailing practical exams. Once we finished proving to captain Eliot that we are a seaworthy crew by doing sailing circles and knot tying, we all celebrated by doing flips off the boat into the warm, wavy water. Later we rode the dinghy to a small island called Sandy Spit, where all of the shipmates were swimming in the clear waters on the cream white beach. Once we were all burnt out from playing king of the hills, we got back on board Astrid for a nice warm dinner and then moved on to a cool Lifeworks session with Mike, then finished with a relaxing night on the bow.
