Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
I woke up today, knowing it was a big day; it was my turn to be the skipper of our boat. We had some cheerios, and we were shortly underway. I sailed 5 miles to a dive spot called the Chimney’s. Never before taking the helm,, I was scared I would embarrass myself. It turned out okay, though after lots of coaching from Jack and Pippa, and I gained a feel for it. The Chimney’s was probably my favorite dive spot ever because I saw two barracudas! I’m not used to seeing big fish! I then sailed 7 miles to Muskmelon Bay and had my favorite meal of chili and saltines. Being skipper, you must have a sense of urgency and leadership, and a day like today taught me both of those things.
