Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Today was a big sail day. The first few hours of the day we had nothing to do, as our staff members were gone at a staff meeting. However, after that, Jake came, and as I was skipper I was at the helm and helped steer the boat. After that, we learned about man overboard drills and how to rescue someone who has fallen overboard. We threw a fender named Dale overboard and practiced pointing at it and steering the boat toward it as well as counting the distances between the Wind Shadow and the fender. We also practiced steering the boat based on what direction the wind moved as well as trying to memorize the names of the directions boats move in comparison to the wind.
