Today was a very long and tiring day. We woke up at 6 am and ate a quick breakfast, and got ready for the hike up Mt. Sage. Before the hike I didn’t think it would be as hard as it was; let’s say I was wrong. With full water bottles and proper shoes, we took our first steps off the dock. The first stretch was very steep. The hike was never easy, but once my shipmates and I got to the top, it was all worth it. After the hike, we ate at a restaurant on the beach. The burger I ate might have been the best I have ever had. After lunch, we strategized for our sand castle for the sand castle contest. We decided on Snoopy and his dog house. But when we started building it, we switched from about seven designs. In the end, it looked like a giant mound of sand with leaves and rocks randomly placed within it. After the contest, we went back to the ship and showered. Once we were all cleaned, we got ready for the BBQ at Sydney’s Peace and Love. When we got there, we had to Med moor, and I moored us in like a master. The best part for everyone was watching my helmsmanship. Well, it’s time for some dinner now, and I hear that the BBQ is AMAZING.
