This morning was rather late in comparison to yesterday. We intended to go for a hike, but, unluckily for us, the wind was too strong for us to anchor. This meant that we had to go back to the anchorage we had stayed the night at. From there, we got to eat lunch ashore and buy souvenirs. Afterward, we got a freshwater top off and sent people to buy provisions for our stay in Bora Bora for the next few days (there Rebecca met her
“soul mate”). Our shipmates also called home to make, some of our first, outside contact with the outside world after entering the boat. Dinner was great too, where we made a cake with some homemade vanilla frosting (using local vanilla beans).
I’m looking forward to our long sail up to Bora Bora, where we intend to go and see the celebrations for Bastille Day.
