Title: Fun on shore and sailing
HEYY everyone! This is Brielle, and I’m the skipper today! It’s crazy to even fathom that we only have two full days left of camp. These three weeks flew by, and it has been nothing less than an amazing experience and adventure. Thankfully, this morning, most of us were able to sleep in until around 7:30 to 8 am.
On the other hand, Cassie, Mario, and Orion woke up a bit earlier, at 7, to go waterskiing. When they got back, a couple of other people also decided to go waterskiing since this was our last chance to go. While they were gone, I decided to make breakfast for the whole boat. Although I wasn’t a chef today, I was more than happy to cook breakfast for them since I love to cook! Orion and Max also helped me cook a bit, and we decided to make a batch of banana pancakes alongside the plain pancakes. After eating our delicious, hearty breakfast, we sailed to Road Town. To make our sail even more fun, we decided to race Glad 2 B Here, another AQ boat. Road Town is a very well-known town in the BVI that is also pretty busy. Right when we arrived, we were eager to get some shore time, and we got down as soon as possible. We were even more excited because we were able to get our phones, which meant we could call our friends and home! While on shore, the first thing we did was go to a restaurant to get some food. The whole girl’s table ordered chicken tenders with fries, and these were extremely delectable. After our meal, we walked around the town and went into a supermarket. Since we just went to town yesterday, Cassia, Caitlin, and Gigi all only got a small pack of Oreos. Before getting picked up to go to our boat, we had to wait a bit at the same restaurant because our shore time wasn’t over yet, but we were done exploring. Afterward, we motored over to GHP, and Mia (the counselor), Adrienne, and I all hung out in the power tower, making friendship bracelets while vibing to some music.
We all quickly jumped into the water once we arrived, as we were desperate to feel fresh as we showered before dinner. To end off our slow-moving day, we had a mouthwatering dinner of Mexican food, which consisted of beans, rice, sautéed veggies, sour cream, cheese, and beef. We all used these ingredients to make ourselves burritos and props to our wonderful chefs, Adrienne and Cassia, who made this dinner. As always, we ended our night with a squeeze and did a clean-up. As our time here in BVI’s at AQ comes to an end, we are enjoying our last days and making the most out of them. (PS Miss you, Mom, Dad, and Yaell!! See you guys soon, love you)
