We woke up at 6:30 am. That was too early, but what we were going to do beats that. We ate breakfast, obviously. Then our instructor Andy told the divers in our group that we were going on our first open water dive. Everybody was so excited. So, we got in the dinghy and went to the boat Sailing Curls. Our scuba group put our gear on the boat, did a giant stride to exit into the water off of Curls. If you don’t know what it feels like to breathe underwater, it’s amazing. We were swimming over a reef, and there are no words to describe it. There were many corals of all colors ranging from yellow to purple. Sea life of many kinds including pufferfish, parrotfish, barracudas, tarpon, stingrays, sea urchins, jellyfish, sea turtles, clownfish, angelfish, triggerfish, and so many more sea animals. After emerging we went back to Squeakybrat and my friend Tessa and I went on a Pico sailboat. It’s small but it’s a blast. We got stuck in irons a few times, but practice makes perfect. We then ate grilled cheeses and jumped off the boat. It was lit, and then we showered. Now I am here writing the blog, waiting for more adventures to come. date: Aug 6, 2017
