Today we woke up bright and early at 6:30 am. We all started our day with cereal and melon while we anxiously waited to be shuttled to the dive boat. When we reached the boat, we got all our gear ready, got with our groups, and excitedly took our first breath underwater in the open ocean. We did a few skills such as mask replacements and emergency out of air drills, but we can all agree that seeing the amazing marine life was the best part. Some groups saw sharks, and others saw parrotfish. When we returned to the surface, we were all very satisfied with our dives. After coming back from the dive boat to our home, Kate helped us review for our PADI exams later in the evening. We then all enjoyed Tuscan white bean soup for lunch and Allie surprised us with brownies! After lunch, some of the crew got ready to sail the Zests, while others relaxed. Zesting was very fun, and trying not to capsize the little boats was the hardest part. But it was also very amusing to watch. After we finished up Zesting, we came together and had a dance party on the transom. Then it was time for our test. We all concentrated hard and made it through. Dinner was Thanksgiving-themed with chicken, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and green bean casserole. Today was eventful and enjoyable.
