Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda

Today we woke up and ate oatmeal. I am the skipper so I was in charge of waking up the chefs. After breakfast, we went to shore and started windsurfing. It was super fun and really funny. Rhoads is by far one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. He wore a rashguard, but it had a hat attached to it and he looked like a water ninja while windsurfing and all the activities were amazing. My favorite part of the day was building Fort Harvix. Harvix is what we named the hand sanitizer bottle on board; we spent an hour building the moat and the little town in its honor. We established there are three different types of sand. There is underwater sand, which is vanilla. Then we have the semi-wet sand we call the chocolate, and lastly the dry sand is the strawberry. This is all thanks to Isaiah. He thought the beach looked like Neapolitan ice cream. So we went with that. Today was wonderful and I love spending time with the best leaders and all the other kids on this boat. The food is great and I sleep outside every night. It’s beautiful here and all the people are so amazing. So happy to be here, and looking forward to tomorrow.
