Today was jam-packed with activities! Our instructors set sail for Anegada at 4:30 am this morning. When we arrived at the island, we took the dinghies to the shore and spent a few hours on the beach. The sand was soft and white and the water was turquoise and insanely clear. We relaxed on the beach, swam, and chatted. After that, we started sailing to our next dive site. On the way, we encountered 6 huge dolphins! They swam at the bow of the boat and jumped out of the water right in front of us! It was absolutely amazing! Following this exciting event, we moored at the Chickuzen, a dive site far from land with a shipwreck. There, we had a very fun dive where we saw a large ray, barracudas, and some of us (not me) even saw sharks! It was also the deepest dive we have done so far. When we set sail again, many of us sat at the helm exchanging stories about what made us happy, a game that Tim (our skipper) calls “12 Happy Thoughts”. At the end of a long and wonderful day, we moored once more to share a delicious dinner of chicken Cesar salad, risotto, and corn, Tonight we will do the squeeze and then get some rest before another awesome day tomorrow!
