Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay

After a late night at Sydney’s, we enjoyed a nice sleep in to 7 am. We had a French toast breakfast before motoring over to Sandy Spit. Our day quickly picked up speed when we completed the SCUBA Review Workshop, simulating previously certified divers refreshing their skills. After surfacing, we enjoyed some chicken salad wraps for lunch before setting up our gear again. It was time for the Discover SCUBA Diving workshop, where our instructors pretended to be new divers on their first dives. There were lots of laughs and elaborate back stories as we dinghied them to the dive site. Underwater we had a lot of fun pretending to be new divers and causing “problems” for divemasters who were acting as instructors. We saw some squid, lots of fish, and practiced skills on our dives. Tonight’s dinner is an AQ favorite – franks and beans, which we are all looking forward to. Afterward, we are taking the second part of our final exam, which will conclude the theory part of the Divemaster course. We are so excited to officially become divemasters in a few days, but for now, we are enjoying every minute of our last week in the beautiful BVI.
